Camp Sweeney

This year our charity is Camp Sweeney in Whitesboro,Texas. Camp Sweeney is a sleepover summer camp for diabetic children ages 6-18. Attending this camp is often a life changing experience for kids who attend because there they are not different from the other children. Part of the camp program is educational, campers are taught to test and give themselves shots, but they also enjoy a very active traditional camp experience. No child has ever been turned away from Camp Sweeney due to lack of money. It’s a place where lifelong friendships are made and a bright outlook on the future is forged!
